More Info
From 1983 until 2005, Sudan was ravaged by a civil war. Because of the length and severity of the war, Southern Sudan lost their schools. From 2005 through today, refugees are coming back into the country, but there are few schools for their children. The limited government-run schools have trouble paying teachers. Many of those meet irregularly, or have stopped meeting altogether.
To help educate the children in Sudan, we’ve started a preschool and elementary school. In the Spring of 2009, the kids received the highest marks of any other school in the county. These high marks came despite serious challenges in everyday life.
Through The Sudan Footrace, we would like to raise $35,000.
These funds will:
· Repair their school buildings
· Pay teachers’ salaries
· Feed the children
· Help e3 Partner’s work in Sudan

We were extremely pleased with the response The Sudan Footrace and Family Festival received in its
inaugural year (2009). Clearly, the community embraced the event as well as the Sudanese schoolchildren it benefited.  Thanks to this great response, over 500 schoolchildren in Sudan received nourishing meals, school resources, and a portion of a new school building. We are excited to partner with you this year to build on this foundation.

Electronic Tag Timing
Electronic tag timing will be use at this event.  You must wear a tag to be timed and eligible for awards.  Age group awards will be determined by tag time.
