Mega Conference
Last year David Kaya told me he wanted to hold a pastor’s conference. We talked about how these guys were slugging it out day after day. They were preaching, supporting their families (Sudan churches rarely tithe), counseling and shepherding their flocks. They were tired and needed a time of refreshment. In November, we put on a conference for them. We put them up, fed them, and a few leaders preached both words of encouragement as well as the reminder to preach and teach sound doctrine in their churches. We had about 80 pastors show up. It was from this conference that our missionaries self-selected to leave their hometowns to plant new churches.
Now we’re doing it again, and we need your prayer to undergird the event. Boy do we need your prayers, why? Well, word got out. This Monday, David and the local leadership are expecting between 800 and 1,000 pastors to show up. How did the number grow so large? The conference turned international. Not only will we host Sudanese pastors, but many are coming from Northern Uganda and Congo as well.
Specific Prayer for the agenda
The theme is - Ephesians 5:14-15 “for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said:
“Wake up, O sleeper,
rise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”
Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise,”

• Assurance of salvation
• Christian family – What it means to have one.
• Living in the Spirit world
• Unity in the body of christ
• Christian warfare - spiritual warfare
• First steps – e3’s church-planting training

Oh yeah, one final, cool note: This is another 100% Sudanese-led event. Not one Westerner is coming or helping with the planning and organizing. I love that.
